Program Description
Placement and Duration
The part-time internship (up to 20 hours a week) is an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere in the Central Outsourcing Control Office by taking on some of the responsibilities and functions of a Full-Time Analyst for a short period. The internship starts in August 2026 and will last at least 12 months but can vary in length depending on business needs and candidate availability.
The cornerstone of Morgan Stanley's outsourcing risk management philosophy is the execution of risk-adjusted supervision of outsourced services within a globally interconnected business model.
Training Program
You will receive on-the-job training and benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of topics around outsourcing and regulations.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Central Outsourcing Control team to help to:
- Execute internal project management
- Perform detailed data validation and analysis for data accuracy in various tools ; and
- Control that the Morgan Stanley Europe SE (MSESE) Group outsourcing documentation and registers comply with internal requirements
The tasks specifically require:
- Data processing related tasks e.g. testing of data quality in MSESE’s Group outsourcing and sourcing register
- Coordinating and organising internal projects and regular reporting by tracking responses and chasing overdue tasks
- Preparation of training documents and reporting of Management Information
- Analyse metrics to identify trends or deficiencies as well as re-align plans to address outsourcing needs
- Involved in overseeing business as usual tasks and ensuring other departments comply with established outsourcing standards and procedures
- Continuously learn and work on new topics as they emerge, adapting to evolving business needs
- Administer other duties as delegated by the Central Outsourcing Control team
Requirements
- You have a solid academic background: you are a final year student enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme (Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics or equivalent) graduating in 2026 and are planning to enroll in a Master’s programme with an expected graduation date in 2028
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of German is beneficial but not essential
- Strong data analytical skills and ability to interpret are essential, but no specific outsourcing related background knowledge/ experience required
- Familiarity with data interpretation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms is an asset though not essential
- You have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- You are detail oriented and work efficiently and precisely even within tight time constraints
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- You are a strong team player; have an ability to collaborate with colleagues within the Central Outsourcing Control department and across the broader organization
- Strong desire to gain further understanding of the European regulations
- You are a self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively tackle challenges and opportunities
- You are driven, highly motivated and results-focused
