We are looking for a Vice President - Access & Identity Management (AIM) Operations & Customer Identity Engineering.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Cybersecurity Engineering position at VP level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist cyber expertise and creating solutions that protect the organization's systems and networks against actual and potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

What you'll do in the role:
>Responsible for leading the operations, engineering, security, and modernization of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platforms supporting customers, employees, partners, and applications globally.
>Owns the delivery, reliability, governance, and continuous improvement of strategic identity platforms, including Transmit Security, PingFederate, ForgeRock, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), passkeys, passwordless authentication, adaptive authentication, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML federation, and customer identity services.
>Leads customer identity initiatives across Morgan Stanley platforms, driving the design, implementation, and operation of secure authentication, authorization, Single Sign-On (SSO), identity verification, account recovery, and fraud-resistant authentication solutions. >Responsible for platform operations, technology modernization, security enhancements, regulatory compliance, operational risk management, large-scale integrations, and identity transformation programs.
>Partners closely with cybersecurity, engineering, infrastructure, architecture, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and customer-centric identity services while enabling digital transformation and business growth.
Team Leadership:
- Managing global IAM operations & engineering teams
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment within the team.
- Set clear goals, provide guidance, and ensure efficient execution of tasks.
- Manage team members, including performance and training assessments.
- Provide support and guidance t- stakeholders at the senior-most support level.
IAM:
- Build, maintain, and optimize global company IAM services, assessing system performance and offering suggestions and contributing t- solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams t- integrate IAM solutions across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Resolve issues escalated by customers and engineers.
- Align IT IAM infrastructure with current and future business requirements and strategic goals SRE Principles:
- Champion Site Reliability Engineering(SRE) principles within the team..
- Collaborate with development teams t- improve system architecture and resilience.
- Drive initiatives t- enhance system security, reliability, availability, and performance, leveraging new and emerging process automation opportunities t- improve organization effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Partnering with system owners, certify business continuity and disaster recovery efforts of our IAM systems.
What you'll bring to the role:
Technical Skills:
An acute understanding of:
- IAM products, such as those provided by Transmit Security, ForgeRock and Ping Identity.
- General network and enterprise security standards including vulnerability management, patching and concepts
- Support internal and external regulatory requests.
- Intermediate knowledge of operating system administration on Windows and Linux [Redhat] platforms
- An intermediate knowledge of at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Perl, Python or Shell and familiarity with using debuggers when troubleshooting.
- Experience working with large enterprise architecture.
- Familiarity working with operational and plant management tooling such as Splunk, Grafana, ServiceNow and Jira and Jenkins
Soft Skills:
- Active interest in Access Management systems, Directory products and Information Security.
- Outstanding written and oral English communication skills: capable of writing comprehensive documentation, making presentations t- an internal audience and interacting positively with upper management, colleagues and customers.
- Independent problem-solving attitude, highly motivated and self-directing.
- Comfortable working with an operations and support team with end user interaction and with periodic on-call responsibilities.
- Proven experience as an IT Operations manager or similar role.
- Supporter of SR
Experience:
- Previous experience in IT Operations or Engineering management.
- ITIL, CISSP or similar certification (optional).
