The work environment is hybrid with most jobs working in office 3 days a week and others at home.

Duration: 10 Week Program - June 1, 2027 to August 10, 2027

Location: New York

Salary is set at $31.25 per hour.

No relocation assistance or housing support is offered. Candidates must be able to secure their own housing during the 10 weeks. Position is not eligible for benefits.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This internship position supports the Core Services Engineering team, who are responsible for delivering high-quality reference data across investment, trading, risk, and operational platforms. The intern will work alongside software engineers, data analysts, and product partners to enhance the firm’s Core Services technologies by implementing mission-critical APIs, improving data quality and delivery, and supporting modern cloud-native applications while considering tradeoffs for scale and usability.

The role offers hands-on experience with financial data, software delivery, cloud technologies, and emerging AI-driven solutions that improve data validation, operational efficiency, and organic firm productivity. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects while gaining exposure to enterprise-scale financial technology platforms.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development, testing, and enhancement of Core Services applications, APIs, and data services.
  • Assist in analyzing and validating security reference data across equities, fixed income, funds, and derivatives.
  • Help investigate data quality and operational issues through analysis and root cause identification.
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, and observability solutions that improve data quality and operational efficiency.
  • Improve platform stability using methodical approaches to standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business teams on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Create technical documentation, process guides, and knowledge-sharing materials.
  • Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and project reviews.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs and individual interests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Rising junior actively pursuing a bachelor's degree toward a related field.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, financial technology, data platforms, and AI-powered solutions.
  • Foundational knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, or JavaScript.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, APIs, databases, machine learning, or AI tools is a plus.
