Relationship Manager

Position Overview:
As a member of a Private Asset Management (PAM) team within NB Private Wealth, the Relationship Manager is responsible for leading the overall relationship management strategy, approach, and execution across the PAM team direct business with an emphasis on the largest and most complex relationships, the highest potential relationships, and the at-risk relationships. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and leading a methodical approach to client outreach and engagement. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for leveraging the available technology to organize, systematize, and scale client engagement activities and ensure consistent execution across the client base. They will focus on strengthening relationships, supporting the implementation of wealth and investment strategy recommendations, utilizing knowledge of Trust and Estate Planning, expanding client connectivity, and growing assets. The candidate should have some background in Trust and Estate Planning.
Primary Responsibilities:
Investments:
Partner with PAM portfolio managers in delivering superior client service. Advise clients and aid in implementation of overall investment strategy including asset allocation, portfolio management, and diversification, in accordance with the investment objectives of the individual clients.
Wealth Strategy:
Actively seek opportunities with clients to provide wealth strategy services including wealth planning, trust and estate planning, philanthropic advisory and other relevant services that can be provided to help clients achieve their financial goals and enhance the overall client experience.
Growth/Retention:
Develop relationships with extended family members to be positioned to facilitate an orderly transition of assets as they pass to the next generation. Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through holistic planning, asset allocation, and diversification. Ideally, but as a secondary priority, build the client base through referrals, networking, and community involvement.
Communication:
Establish and lead approach to organized client communications leveraging both the PAM team and firmwide content. Organize and lead active participation in client events and other opportunities to provide memorable experiences and deepen client relationships.

Wealth strategy and planning activities
Client engagement activities including emails, phone calls, meetings, events, and entertainment
Experience & Skills Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFP, CTFA) preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of experience at a law firm, specializing in Trust & Estate or a related Financial Services field
Proven track record managing complex, high-net-worth client relationships, with a strong emphasis on trust and estate planning, wealth strategy, and investment advisory services
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead client outreach, conduct impactful meetings, and organize events that enhance client engagement and retention
Demonstrated ability to provide trust and estate planning and philanthropic advisory directly to clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a metrics-driven approach to evaluating client retention, growth, and engagement activities
Experience working collaboratively within a team environment and partnering with portfolio managers and subject matter experts to deliver comprehensive wealth solutions
Ability to expand client connectivity, cultivate relationships with extended family members, and facilitate the orderly transition of assets across generations
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all client interactions
Compensation Details
This position is paid based on production compensation only. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
