Summary:
The ETF Operations Product Manager supports North American ETF servicing across the primary market lifecycle, including creation/redemption order support, basket production and dissemination, and settlement-related activities.
This role partners with operations, oversight, and technology teams to support accurate execution, maintain strong operational controls, and drive ongoing process and system enhancements.
Major Duties:
Oversee day-to-day ETF servicing activities across the primary market lifecycle, including creation/redemption order processing, basket production and dissemination, and settlement support
Monitor key workflow milestones, investigate exceptions, and coordinate timely resolution across internal teams and external operational parties
Coordinate with internal teams and external operational counterparts to manage inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain timely workflow execution
Produce, validate, and reconcile ETF operational data to support daily reporting, operational controls, and accurate processing
Maintain procedures, service documents, and operating guides to ensure documentation remains current as processes evolve
Execute and evidence ETF-specific controls in alignment with the established control framework
Partner with technology and operations teams to define business requirements, support testing, and validate enhancements
Drive continuous improvement by identifying root causes, recommending process enhancements, and developing metrics to measure service quality and productivity
Experience/Qualifications:
College or University degree and/or equivalent relevant work experience
3–5 years of ETF operations or servicing experience, including transfer agency and order support, AP servicing, basket operations, fund accounting, custody operations, or related functions
Working knowledge of ETF products, primary market workflows, and the operational lifecycle across orders, baskets, and settlement
Understanding of how internal teams and external operational parties interact across ETF servicing processes
Strong process orientation, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively in a time-sensitive, high-volume environment
Ability to analyze operational breaks, perform reconciliations, and drive issue resolution across teams
Strong Excel and systems skills, with the ability to support process changes and testing activities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to operate effectively in an evolving environment with developing processes, controls, and technology

Salary Range:
$88,900 - 151,100 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
