The Senior 1LOD KYC Policy Manager will:

  • Responsible and accountable for developing and maintaining BU Standard Operating Procedures / Desktop Procedures / Guidance Notes / Controls to implement Global AML/KYC Program changes into the 1LOD.
  • Design, implement and execute a 1LOD Training function to ensure the KYC Centre of Excellence staff are adequately trained to perform the outsourced service
  • The AML/KYC Program Management team’s primary role is to ensure adequate program governance is in place within the KYC Centre of Excellence to support the effectiveness of the Global AML/KYC Program by minimising regulatory, monetary and reputational risks for the team and the team’s service recipients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Program Lead to provide solutions to complex business processes related to Know Your Customer (KYC) applications and regulatory data/document collection requirements
  • Drive the ownership and delivery of all procedural change requests to enable stakeholders and senior management to track progress in line with regulatory requirements
  • Provide procedural solutions to complex business processes related to Know Your Customer (KYC) applications and regulatory data/document collection requirements
  • Ownership of the KYC Centre of Excellence procedural updates and changes and provide ongoing procedural advisory support to the team
  • Ownership of design and delivery of ongoing training for all KYC program and procedure updates within the team
  • Participate in all 1LOD and 2LOD relevant forums regarding AML Program and Risk Appetite changes
  • Drive the coordination of 1LOD global touchpoints via working groups, governance committees and user groups to ensure communication of procedural change updates, enhancements, requirements are clearly understood, prioritized appropriately and implemented
  • Consult with the 2LOD on material changes to the KYC requirements to ensure all changes can be proceduralized in the KYC Centre of Excellence
  • Follow the code of business conduct and ethics including timely escalation of AML concerns, suspicious activity or any corporate policy breaches
  • Demonstrate commitment to AML risk excellence through the provision of ancillary tasks that support the firm’s know your customer due diligence
  • Maintain role-specific knowledge of the current anti-money laundering and financial crime risks and issues through completion of the annual AML Training, and any other financial crime training deemed applicable to the role

The ideal candidate should have a fair amount of the following skills & experience:

  • A college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of AML/KYC/financial crimes regulations and processes
  • Proven ability to interpret AML/KYC policies, procedures and laws to put into practise
  • Strong presentation skills including experience in face to face presentations to senior management
  • Significant experience in training both one to one and large groups
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills
  • Evidence of strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
