Global Accounting Product Lead, SVP
Summary
Drive the evolution of Northern Trust’s global accounting product suite across fund, insurance, partnership, and related capabilities. Sitting within Asset Servicing’s Product Office, this role helps advance product solutions that support institutional clients across custody, administration, fiduciary, and data services.
This is a senior individual contributor opportunity for someone who leads through expertise, influence, and cross-functional partnership to help modernize the platform and deliver meaningful client and business impact.
Major Duties

Asset Servicing Product Leadership
Lead the global accounting product portfolio across fund, insurance, partnership, and related capabilities
Set product direction and roadmap priorities in partnership with key stakeholders
Bring together accounting, data, reporting, and service capabilities into cohesive solutions

Strategic Leadership
Serve as a senior product leader through expertise, influence, and sound judgment
Drive industry analysis, modernization initiatives, and product differentiation
Represent the product in client and industry engagements

Stakeholder Engagement & Enterprise Alignment
Partner across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Compliance
Influence priorities and decision-making with senior stakeholders
Lead cross-functional outcomes through collaboration, credibility, and strong product knowledge

Commercial & Financial Leadership
Help shape pricing strategy and product financial performance
Support capital planning, investment prioritization, and business cases
Contribute to growth through a competitive and scalable product strategy

Execution & Governance
Support delivery across product lifecycle stages
Ensure adherence to governance, risk, and control frameworks
Coordinate cross-functional dependencies and risks
Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
15+ years in financial services and product management
Deep accounting product expertise
Experience leading global product portfolios and contributing to product financial performance
Proven ability to lead in a senior individual contributor role
Strong cross-functional partnership and stakeholder management skills
Strategic thinker with strong execution focus

Salary Range:
$137,400 - 233,600 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
