The team

The Chief Operating Office Strategic Execution Team is dedicated to delivering change projects across the COO organisation. Most projects involve material transformation of the operating model across multiple locations, whether implementing new technology, improving processes or changing the organisation design.

The role

The Project Management Office (PMO) role supports the successful delivery of projects and programmes by providing governance, structure, and insight across the portfolio. The role focuses on enabling consistent delivery practices, improving visibility of performance, and ensuring effective planning and decision-making across stakeholders.

The PMO operates as a central function that promotes best practice, transparency, and continuous improvement across all project activities for the COO Strategic Execution Team.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Support the development and maintenance of PMO frameworks, methodologies, and tools

  • Ensure projects adhere to agreed governance processes and delivery standards

  • Maintain templates, documentation, and consistent ways of working, ensuring support for audit / compliance requirements.

  • Track milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities

  • Support project managers with scheduling, coordination, and progress tracking

  • Consolidate project and portfolio reporting (status, risks, financials, milestones)

  • Produce clear, timely reporting for stakeholders at different levels

  • Track cross-project dependencies and highlight potential conflicts

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, teams, and business stakeholders

  • Support governance forums, including project reviews and status meetings, producing minutes as needed

  • Assist with resource planning and allocation visibility

The successful candidate will demonstrate some of the following skills:

  • Experience in a PMO, project coordination, or project support role

  • Strong organisational and planning skills

  • Ability to analyse data and present insights clearly

  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools

  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Focused on continuous improvement and efficiency

  • Able to challenge constructively and think critically

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Experience working in complex or multi-project environments

  • Familiarity with portfolio reporting and governance structures

  • Exposure to financial tracking or resource management

  • Experience working in regulated environments
