The AI Threat Defense Analyst, Senior Associate is responsible for:
Key responsibilities:
- Continuously research new and emerging vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or attack patterns that relate to AI.
- Assess vulnerabilities/threats based on severity, exploitability, and business impact.
- Conduct proactive exploitation assessments, PoC to validate whether known vulnerabilities in our environment are exploitable before adversaries confirm it for us and pitch gap analysis
- Build and maintain AI-specific threat profile - mapping TTPs and known exploitation timelines.
- Partner with Purple team for validation of emerging attack techniques/vulnerabilities through testing, proof-of-concept development, where possible.
- Work with threat hunting to proactive hunt against our own environment, based on Early identification of exploitation signs and exposure windows shortens our mean time to respond and reduces potential blast radius.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with demonstrated leadership in threat management, incident response, or security operations.
- Strong understanding of modern adversary TTPs, including AI-enabled threats, automation abuse, and emerging attack techniques.
- Some development experience in Java, C++, C#, Powershell or Python.
Salary Range:
$88,900 - 151,100 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
