Hedge fund services- Senior Analyst, POSEIDON FINANCIAL CONTROL

Role
The job requires working for a Global Hedge Fund Administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. This individual will have a strong technical Accounting background; experience working within the Financial Services industry. The position involves understanding of various investment instruments like Equities, Fixed Income Products, Derivatives, Swaps, CFDs, Repos etc. It also requires good understanding of Hedge Fund NAV cycle
Principal Responsibilities
- Review of monthly fund and business entity closing summaries for Fund Administrator
- Report and analyse financial data to be disseminated to Fund Administrator’s clients and their investors
- Generate estimated performance returns
- Close monthly books and records of the funds to general final performance figures,
- Interact with clients and other Hedge Fund Administrator teams to obtain understanding of funds’ activities
- Prepare financial statements for funds
- Work directly with external auditors to ensure accuracy of each fund’s annual financial statements
- Consistently look to streamline and automate the reporting/analytical process with the use of technology
ACCountabilities
- Employees are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role
- Employees are expected to exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the incumbent is responsible for are organised and controlled
- Employees are required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties
- Reports to TL/ Section Manager

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of Hedge Fund Accounting experience
- Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Master degree a plus
- Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
- Excellent English, grammar, written and oral communication skills
- Adaptive, flexible style with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
