Job Title: Sr. Product Manager – Client360 (C360)

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for executing the strategy of the Client360 product portfolio as outlined by the Lead Product Manager, Product Executive and Head of Product Management for the business unit. Responsible for Product Management Lifecycle activities such as evaluating industry trends, identifying opportunities, defining business capabilities, and driving the delivery of strategic outcomes. The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Client360 capabilities that enable a consistent, connected view of client information across Wealth Management platforms. Acts as a resource for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

Major Duties:

  • Develop market insight by evaluating industry trends, client needs, and evolving advisor and partner workflows

  • Formulate strategy for the group by aligning cross functional teams, uncovering opportunities and determining life cycle states

  • Shape the value proposition, develop the business case and define the marketing mix model as part of the new product planning process

  • Lead in introducing new products to the market by securing regulatory approvals, publishing marketing material and conducting sales training

  • Assess industry movement and refine value based pricing post the launch of new product

  • Attend and present at industry events and publish in industry publications

  • Provide sales support including presenting at client and prospect meetings

  • Create strategies for cross-program coordination and go-to market rollouts

  • Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues

  • Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity

  • Conducts post launch audits, tracks product success, analyses P&L, metrics, KPIs, and makes recommendations for improvements to promotional programs

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for Client360 capabilities, including client and household representations, relationship structures, ownership models, and related client data domains

  • Partner with Technology, Data, Operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable Client360 capabilities that improve data consistency, usability, and business outcomes

  • Drive alignment across platforms to reduce duplication, improve data quality, and enable a consistent representation of clients across Wealth Management

  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, integration points, and delivery risks across data, platform, and experience workstreams

  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to prioritize enhancements, measure product success, and drive adoption of Client360 capabilities

Knowledge:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Proficient in constructing/overseeing logical and conclusive presentations, distilling complex subject matter into management-ready materials

  • Knowledge of all products or business areas within an umbrella, mastery of 2-4+ and/or SME ability in 1+ and a strong understanding of client needs and how this impacts the product development agenda/roadmap

  • Excellent in building key relationships, influencing and negotiating with clients, partners and leaders across multiple disciplines

  • Program or project management experience is advantageous; planning, analysis, design and governance

  • Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment

  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff

  • Strong understanding of client data management, relationship structures, householding, data governance, and cross-platform product capabilities

  • Knowledge of enterprise data products, shared data models, integrations, and data-driven product development practices

  • Understanding of regulatory, compliance, operational, and risk considerations related to client data and Wealth Management platforms

Experience:

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.

Salary Range:

$114,500 - 194,700 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
