Summary

Responsible for Operations support and client service for the global brokerage business. Has specific knowledge or expertise typically gained through formal education or equivalent experience. Focuses on the day-to-day processing of trades from the point of book-out and allocation, through to settlement and reconciliation of accounts, and all other brokerage operations functions.

Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and clients. Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Carries out activities with moderate financial, client and/or internal business impact.

Major Duties:

1. Solves problems in straightforward situations
2. Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
3. Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team
4. Works within guidelines and policies
5. Writes and maintains high quality procedure documentation
6. Assists in training new starters within the team
7. Asks questions, challenges existing processes, offers ideas

Working Model: Hybrid

  • Provides informal guidance to new team members
  • FINRA licenses required (US): 99; 7 and 63 are preferred, or the ability to obtain within 90 days

Experience :

• A College or University degree and/or relevant work experience is required.
• Prior industry experience, preferably in a financial operations role is preferred

Salary Range:

$67,500 - 111,500 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
