Global Client Group - Business Manager, AVP - Based in London

The Global Client Group is responsible for developing and deploying Nuveen’s insights, capabilities and solutions to best serve Wealth and Institutional clients. The team is focused on growing revenue through new business opportunities and expanded relationships with current clients. We are currently seeking a Business Manager to support the Global Institutional team with a focus on our international business. This individual will report to the Chief of Staff for the Global Client Group.

The primary responsibility of the Business Manager is day-to-day business operations for the Global Client Group, partnering closely with local leadership, key functional partners and other professionals across our distribution, client service and product organizations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive management processes to facilitate and monitor business performance vs. targets by analysing data and developing/monitoring key metrics

  • Oversee procedures to ensure compliance and risk policies are properly implemented and governed

  • Establish and manage operating cadences to support execution of business priorities and ensure focus on high priority initiatives

  • Structure and deliver analyses of internal operational and financial data

  • Support development of financial plans and budgets and track performance against business objectives

  • Represent Global Client Group in discussions with key functional partners across finance, human resources, technology, legal and compliance

  • Drive execution of special projects that sit outside of day-to-day business operations

Technical Skills and Qualifications required:

  • 5+ years of experience within financial services, particularly asset management

  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and visualize large sets of data

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to prioritize across different projects

  • Self-motivated individual, with the ability to take ownership to ensure outcomes are achieved

  • University degree required

This role requires no regulatory designation.
