Lead Analyst, Investment Trade Settlements
The Lead Analyst will be a member of the Trade Operations team within Nuveen Global Investment Operation. The candidate will act as a lead analyst on the team and will be responsible for supporting our investment team by ensuring accurate and timely trade support of Foreign Exchange (FX) and derivatives trades within Nuveen's order management, accounting, and collateral management systems. In addition to supporting production trading, the candidate will work closely with Nuveen's Equity and Fixed Income investment teams, Technology teams, and critical business partners such as State Street to advance Nuveen's strategic initiatives and implement process improvements to scale and support the growth of the business. The Lead will be responsible ensuring timely and accurate communication of trade activity to necessary downstream stakeholders as well as cash and underlying securities related to derivatives trading.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee FX and derivatives trade management activity, identifying high-risk issues and resolving trade breaks through Nuveen's strategic outsourced operations partners.
Oversee FX and derivatives trade processing, analytics, and reporting within proprietary derivatives risk and analytics platform, supporting investments and risk management teams.
Closely collaborate with Trading, Technology, and Operations to support strategic initiatives through business analysis, development, testing, and implementation.
Incorporate a risk management mindset, focused on identifying and mitigating operational risk through continued process improvement and enhanced operational controls. Develop standard operating procedures and remediation plans to address operational risk.
Oversee and support operational onboarding activities for derivatives trading and collateral management. Partner with Legal on prerequisite trading agreements to support client onboarding and fund launch.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Financial services experience
- Experience working in asset management (such as investment/trading operations)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate issues with internal/external stakeholders and present highly technical subject matter at an appropriate level for the target audience.
- Controls mindset, ability to partner with Compliance and Risk Management to advance the business and mitigate risk.
- Experience with or strong understanding of FX and various derivatives instruments across equity, fixed income, and credit asset classes.
- Broader knowledge of Investment Operations
- Strong knowledge of derivatives trade lifecycle and support across bilateral, listed, and cleared derivatives trading workflows.
- Understanding of Investment Management products (Pension funds, Mutual funds, Separate accts).
- Knowledge of order management systems and/or electronic trading systems to support derivatives and FX trading.
- Experience with Bloomberg Aim, Charles River,
- Experience working with outsourced service providers
- Experience with supporting global trading and operating within a "follow-the-sun" global operating model
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Ability to run meetings and drive results
Anticipated Posting End Date:
2026-05-20Base Pay Range: $109,000/yr - $157,000/yrActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
