Overview of the Role:

With the guidance of NNC’s Head of Legal, Americas and NNC’s Chilean Country Manager, the Senior Lawyer will manage all the legal demands in Chile.


The Senior Lawyer will have a strategic and important role acting directly with the operations, commercial and finance teams in Chile and the United States, identifying and managing demands. The successful individual will be hands on, dealing with large volume of demand as well as being strategic in supporting the business to achieve its goals.

Depending on the development and direction of NNC, the Senior Lawyer may have role expansion opportunities to cover mandates in other LATAM countries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships and work streams with external counsel.

  • Support operations and commercial teams in all demands, including labour, contracts, real estate and corporate legal, using prudent judgment to engage external legal support when needed.

  • Working alongside the commercial team and external counsel, help structure asset acquisitions and dispositions, strategic partnerships, and other business initiatives.

  • Maintain the organization and formalization of all legal documentation.

  • Will have corporate secretarial responsibilities and will oversee all local SPV governance, including some fund governance as well.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Law Degree

  • 5-7 years of similar experience post qualification

  • Experience in Agriculture

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Exposure to international organisations would be ideal
