Energy Infrastructure Credit
The Vice President candidate in the Energy Infrastructure Credit (EIC) group is expected to have strong financial and modeling skills and experience working in an investment role at an alternative asset manager or as a VP in an investment banking role. The candidate is expected to have previous exposure and interest in energy and power (traditional or sustainable energy) and understand key industry and investment trends and related credit implications. The candidate should have significant investment/deal experience and be knowledgeable with helping lead transactions and conducting due diligence. The position will also require strong interpersonal and communication skills and will involve presenting to the EIC Investment Committee.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review quantitative economic, industry and company research and analysis

  • Interact with management teams, private equity sponsors, banks and other capital market intermediaries as well as third party consultants

  • Work as part of EIC investment deal team to develop a broad range of credit/sensitivity cases and financial analysis in connection with investment opportunity

  • Conduct due diligence in connection with reviewing investment opportunity, including valuation and liquidity analysis, capital structure and management team assessment

  • Evaluate risk/return parameters of investment opportunity

  • Draft investment memorandums and prepare due diligence materials, and other internal documentation by coordinating internal and external resources

  • Assist with review of legal documentation in connection with an investment opportunity

  • Help present investment opportunity to EIC Investment Committee

  • Help prepare materials for ongoing monitoring of investment performance

  • Monitor investment-related developments and KPI performance with respect to investments the VP has worked on for EIC portfolio

  • Mentor associate and analysts as well as review work product of associate and analysts

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years' investment banking, private equity, principal investment, credit research and/or equity research experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years' investment banking, private equity, principal investment, credit research and/or equity research experience
  • Experience in energy, power, infrastructure and/or sustainable energy
  • Undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics or accounting
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets and risk & pricing analysis
  • Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics, financial modeling and credit analysis
  • Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to work independently and must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Advanced proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office

Anticipated Posting End Date:

2026-06-30Base Pay Range: $175,000/yr - $225,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
