Specialist, Client Services
The Client Services, Specialist provides advice and services to retirement clients. Working independently under limited supervision, this job is responsible for reviewing reports and analysis related to the investment and management of capital on behalf of clients and/or the organization itself. This includes related positions found within advisory firms, hedge funds, private equity firms, banks, insurance companies, real estate firms, and asset consultants.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Evaluates fund performance data and resolves administrative problems.
  • Researches analytics data and follows up with other functional departments to answer ad-hoc retirement client queries on a wide variety of investment, operational, compliance and regulatory topics.
  • Oversees the implementation of support strategies to best serve existing clients.
  • Audits weekly, monthly and quarterly valuation reports delivered to clients.
  • Authorizes that all individual trades and accounts have been reviewed and verified.
  • Works closely on escalated cases to maintain solid relationships with retirement clients.
  • Coaches and mentors the work of lower level retirement professionals.

Job Description: The Senior Trust Operations Analyst contributes to the implementation and maintenance of operational controls for trust activities. Under minimal supervision, this job utilizes knowledge and understanding of trust laws and regulations with a focus on transactional reviews, account and asset reconciliations, record keeping and tax and portfolio accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reviews the set-up, implementation and administration of trusts and estates regarding their operational tasks and duties.
  • Develops account and asset reconciliations and focuses on transactional reviews to ensure there is an overall alignment within the processes.
  • Prepares tax procedures and recommends processes enhancements for high-net-worth clients with complicated and unique tax law changes at the federal and state levels.
  • Interprets operational trust documents or agreements to ensure accurate reporting and compliance of organizational practices and procedures.
  • Review operational controls, ensuring needs are met and fulfilled.
  • Understands and reviews the input and maintenance of data in accounting systems and report generation, while coordinating the processing of dividends and disbursements.
  • Identifies operational internal issues that could impact or affect reporting, recommends solutions to mitigate identified concerns and contributes to the resolution process.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

Work Experience:

  • 10-12 years of trust administration or fiduciary services experience
  • Knowledge of trust taxation and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in trust administration systems and advanced Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience with trust administration platforms (SEI, Fiserv)
  • Process improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma)
