Master Custody Unit, Senior Specialist

The job posting is for a Senior Specialist in the Master Custody Unit at State Street Taipei Branch, within the Investment Services Division. The role primarily involves providing operational, reporting, and client servicing support to mater custody and global custody clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Master Custody Daily Operations
• Act as the primary liaison between investment managers, clients, and
internal stakeholders.
• Respond to client inquiries and reporting requests.
• Handle account opening and maintain legal documentation.
• Monitor investment compliance and ensure portfolios comply with regulations and investment guidelines.
• Generate and review reports.
• Reconcile holdings and transactions with investment managers and custodians.
• Oversee service level agreements (“SLAs”) with internal and external partners.
• Continuously enhance custody and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Basel, SEC, FSC, Taiwan
Central Bank, etc.).
• Handle other operational activities related to master custody services.
2. Client servicing to Investment Services Division clients.
3. Protect the legal entity by ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing
operational, legal, and reputational risks.
4. Foster collaboration and teamwork.
5. Take on ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Skills & Considerations
• Minimum of five years of experience in trust operations within financial institutions.
• Experience in master custody operations, particularly discretionary mandate
accounts.
• Knowledge of global custody operating models.
• Ability to work in an international environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-department communication.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel, with strong attention to details.
• Language proficiency in Mandarin and English.
Education & Certification
• Certification requirement: Trust Operations Personnel (Taiwan).
• Passing grade in “Financial Markes and Professional Ethics.
