Role Summary

State Street uses third parties to support internal processes and to assist in delivery of products and services to clients. In order to manage the risks introduced by working with third-party service providers, State Street has a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program which established the policy and standards for conducting risk assessments and related governance activities. To aid the global team conducting these activities and the internal business areas they support, the Vice President of Program Delivery will be responsible for ongoing TPRM program and framework enhancements. This role will be instrumental in evolving the current TPRM program and maintaining compliance with global regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong risk management capabilities, strong analytical capabilities and the ability to drive TPRM program changes, including soliciting and socializing feedback on proposed changes with key stakeholders across the organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for TPRM Program enhancement; propose program updates considering risk impact as well as impact to global regulatory obligations, operations, reporting, and governance
  • Maintain an understanding of global third party regulations and stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements
  • Identify and work with key stakeholders to drive program updates from concept to operational implementation, including partnership with internal TPRM stakeholders, business stakeholders, legal, second line, and governance committee, as applicable
  • Update TPRM Policy and Standard to reflect agreed upon program changes
  • Identify and solution barriers to operational implementation, working with internal TPRM stakeholders and business unit stakeholders, as needed
  • Identify system functionality changes which may be required to execute program enhancements or drive efficiencies in the operation of the TPRM program; work with technology support team to define relevant business requirements
  • Lead target initiatives across the enterprise to enhance third party governance & reporting
  • Flexibility in working outside of direct responsibilities to support emerging TPRM program requirements & changes

  • Strategic thinking that focuses on developing risk-based solutions to optimize execution approaches while maintaining efficiency
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills; effectively communicates (both written and oral) at all levels throughout an organization
  • Demonstrated experience working in an environment managing multiple, concurrent deliverables, effectively prioritizing tasks; work independently in non-routine situations in a fast paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+years of experience in related fields
  • Experience within large complex organizations, including within financial services organizations
  • Experience working with various risk programs, including risk analysis and risk reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
