Charles River Development is driving dramatic transformation across several different areas, including business strategy, to better position the company to continue thriving and growing in the exciting Fin/Tech SaaS space. The CRD accounting team sits at the forefront of many of these changes and plays a key role in helping the company manage through them.
The CRD Business Assistant Controller will partner with the business operating teams and State Street accounting and regulatory teams to ensure timely and accurate business information is reported. We are looking for a highly committed, technically sound and organized individual.
The role will involve understanding both financial & operational aspects of the business with the successful candidate being able to lead a Team of 3 accountants and provide mentoring and support. In addition to direct controller team oversight, this role will be responsible for coordination with offshore accounting staff.

What you will be responsible for
As Assistant Controller you will
- Month end accrual preparation and review, postings to Great Plains and integration to Oracle
- Prepare monthly capitalization accounting entries
- Manage 3rd party royalties by preparing quarterly report to be distributed to vendors as well as provide accrual to JV teams
- Review and ensure Fixed Assets capitalization process is complete and accurate
- Assist with statutory annual audits
- Process various Treasury functions, such as monitoring bank activities, sending intercompany funding as needed, process customer refunds, and miscellaneous AP payments
- Balance sheet reconciliations (Bank recs, intercompany, and others)
- Work closely with FP&A to ensure actual vs budget results are complete and accurate
- Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business financial information in compliance with State Street policies and GAAP.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Controller Organization
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing quality work in a timely manner
- Experience with MS Dynamics (Great Plains)
- Working knowledge of SaaS industry
- MS Office Products
