State Street Bank International GmbH is currently looking for an IT Material Change Control Manager Vice President
The IT Material Change Control Manager will be responsible for effectively managing IT Material change by assessing, classifying, and coordinating all (e.g. CTB, PTB, RTB) IT changes (that impact SSBI) to determine their materiality and associated risk, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will also serve as co-owner of the SSBI IT Material Change Policy, procedures, continuously improving the process and acting as an additional central point of intake for IT change demand that impacts SSBI. This candidate will also co-lead the weekly change control forum meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall co-responsibility for the SSBI IT Material Change Control life cycle (e.g. demand/intake through notification of decisions, archiving of information, and internal audits).
- Initially assess and classify all IT changes that impact SSBI to determine materiality, regardless of categorization (CTB, PTB, RTB)
- Conduct materiality and risk assessments for IT material changes, including Pre/Post implementation conditions.
- Manage and Coordinate legal entity sign-off processes for material IT changes (e.g. SSBI DMC [Development and Modification Committee, etc.). Also, manage DMC notification process for non-material IT changes.
- Serves as the co-primary liaison with SSBI Committees and decision-making bodies to present and gain approvals.
- Works closely with SSBI IT outsourcing control function and third party service providers, as well as impacted entities, to ensure coordinated change execution.
- Communicate with worker’s councils/unions on IT material change matters, obtaining approvals and ensuring transparency.
- Support divisional functions with legal entity sign-offs for divisional IT-owned changes.
- Help divisions with the IT aspect of divisional owned changes (risk assessment, to get legal entity-sign off, to present to Workers Council/Unions)
- Tracks post-implementation actions and maintain a comprehensive IT change log with proper supporting documentation.
- Acts as the intake and demand point of contact for all IT Material Changes
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline and / or demonstratable experience within a similar technology role
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant Financial Services experience, incl. IT Project Management. Power BI experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all organizational levels and functions.
- Experience in navigating regional and global matrixed environments.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is highly preferred.
- Ability to influence senior management, through both personal interactions as well as the creation and delivery of presentations
- Ability to solve problems, develop alternative approaches to problems, and resolve conflicts
- Teamwork and collaboration-orientated with very good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment as well as to ensure accuracy and quality
- Tenacious self-starter with a keen sense of accountability, ownership, commitment to work and passion for delivering results
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in IT governance or regulatory compliance within a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and service management processes.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, including regulatory bodies, and labor relations groups.
- Demonstrated track record of continuous process improvement and policy management.
