Regional FX Sales Manager, West Coast, MD.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional FX Sales Manager to join our team, focusing on the West Coast (US) region. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our client base and deepening relationships with existing clients. Your focus will include:
- Developing and executing a clear strategy to accelerate growth and distribute a diverse range of FX products to sophisticated institutional asset managers and owners.
- Collaborating with the Global FX teams and other Global Markets divisions to promote cross-selling of State Street’s FX services.
- Building strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing clients and identifying new prospects to onboard.
- Demonstrating a proven track record in client acquisition and new revenue generation.

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Markets (SSM). When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending, and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to the SSM business unit. What you will be responsible for
As a Regional FX Sales Manager, you will:
- Facilitate and take ownership of new business initiatives and be accountable for the creation and implementation of strategy in the region.
- Market and develop this sale territory in order to identify institutional FX trading relationships and capture new business opportunities.
- Build a focused franchise through concise market analysis, data evaluation and execution insights. Provide access to value added services such our suite of proprietary indicators and unique research offering.
- Cultivate and strengthen our talent through increased diversity, mobility, and training. Foster a culture of speaking up and challenge and debate, and in doing so, increase employee engagement.
- Work with relationship managers and the segment sales teams within the bank to provide holistic answers to clients’ investment needs.
- Ensure State Street understands the capital market needs of its clients and ensure this information is fed back through the organization through call reporting to inform bank strategy.

- Sophisticated understanding of foreign exchange products and their application to asset managers, including expertise in advising on hedging of currency risk and other related portfolio management issues.
- Detailed understanding of the regulatory environment and a thorough understanding of market structure issues and the most pressing industry-related trends.
- Deep knowledge of all procedures, best practices, escalation policies, and other codes of conduct relevant to the execution of the role.
- Proven high ethical standards. Good judgment and leadership with regard to day-to-day ethical issues.
- Long track record of demonstrated customer orientation, including existing and new business development.
- Good history as a mentor and sales leader.
- History of strong performance and achievement in the sales arena.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 15+years’ experience in foreign exchange or related markets.
- BS/BA degree required; Master's degree or CFA preferred
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of salespeople against a defined market segment.
- Undergraduate degree preferred or relevant/comparable professional qualification

Salary Range:
$285,000 - $296,250 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
