Who we are looking for

This role will be focusing on risk mitigation within the First Line of Defense (FLOD) through process and controls deep dives, controls monitoring and design of effective controls.

What you will be responsible for

· Manage the execution of risk and control management programs regionally and globally

· Organize and drive Process and Controls Reviews, including the identification and resolution of risks and issues, control design deficiencies or operational inefficiencies to strengthen control environment across FLOD business lines

· Work in conjunction with FLOD business stakeholders and business partners to facilitate implementation of industry best practices in mitigating compliance risk and operational risk

· Provide guidance to ensure adherence to corporate policies, guidelines and regulations across FLOD

· Maintain strong relationships with key functional teams operating in APAC, including Business Risk Management teams, FLOD business lines, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Compliance, and Corporate Audit

· Act in accordance with Risk Excellence and ethical behavior

These skills will help you succeed in this role

· Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Work independently and good presentation skills

· Attention to detail and ability to drive issues toward resolution

· Self-motivated professional with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and goals

· Ability to lead or work on large global cross functional projects

· Knowledge in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools would be an asset

Education and preferred qualifications

· Minimum of 5+ years of equivalent work experience

· Preferred background in financial services or State Street operating model

· Experience in project management

· Experience in Control, Compliance, Audit or Risk Management would be an advantage
