Role Summary & Role Description
As an Associate Vice President (AVP) in Global Technology Services (GTS), you will lead the Level-3 (L3) production support function for State Street’s SailPoint platforms (IdentityIQ ). You will be accountable for platform stability, incident/problem management, and continuous improvement through automation. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with people management.
Experience: 13+ years total in Identity & Access Management (IAM) with 6+ years on SailPoint and 3+ years leading engineers/people management.
**Responsibilities:**
• Own L3 support for SailPoint (IIQ), including complex incident triage, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes.
• Lead major incident bridges; coordinate recovery, communications, and post-incident reviews with actionable RCAs.
• Drive problem management to eliminate repeat incidents; define SLOs/SLAs and operational KPIs; publish weekly/monthly metrics.
• Manage change/release activities (deployments, upgrades, patches), environment hygiene, and capacity/performance tuning.
• Guide application onboarding and connector integrations (AD/LDAP, Azure AD, JDBC/REST, O365); ensure end-to-end provisioning/aggregation health.
• Partner with InfoSec, Audit, Risk, and application owners on access certifications, SOD, ITGC/SOX controls, and evidence for audits.
• Build automation and self-heal/runbook solutions using Java/BeanShell, PowerShell/Python; create use-cases from ticket trends to reduce toil.
• Maintain observability and alerting (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace/AppDynamics) and improve noise-to-signal ratio.
• Hire, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing L2/L3 team; conduct performance reviews, coaching, and succession planning.
• Contribute to platform roadmap and reliability engineering practices; document standards, runbooks, and KT materials.
Core/Must have skills
SailPoint IdentityIQ L3 expertise: workflows, LCM, rules (BeanShell/Java), tasks/schedulers, provisioning policies, plugin development, performance tuning, upgrades (8.x), Tomcat.
Integration & connectors: AD/LDAP, Azure AD/O365, JDBC/REST/SAP; API debugging (Postman); end-to-end provisioning & aggregation troubleshooting.
SRE/Operations excellence: incident/problem/change management (ITIL), RCA methods, on-call leadership, SLAs/SLOs; monitoring with Splunk/Dynatrace/AppDynamics
Automation & scripting: Java/BeanShell, Groovy, PowerShell/Python; CI/CD (Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps); strong SQL on Oracle/SQL Server.
People leadership: proven experience managing and mentoring a 6–12 member team; stakeholder management and effective communication
Good to have skills
cloud (AWS), containers, secrets management.
IAM depth: RBAC/ABAC, role mining, certification campaigns, SOD; knowledge of SOX, ITGC, GDPR.
Enterprise tooling: ServiceNow ITSM, Confluence/Jira; Linux administration; exposure to PAM integrations.
