Summary:
We are looking for an independent JIRA Administrator who will be part of a global team.
Responsibilities:
- Create, configure and manage projects via standardized templates and schemes
- Customize and maintain all aspects of Jira administration including custom fields, screen layouts, issue types, etc.
- Proficient at setting up and managing permission schemes, roles, groups, etc.
- Strong understanding of standard security policies and practices for authentication, SSO/SAML configuration, identity provider configuration and general user administration
- Proficient in configuring workflow rules, automation, including using tools like ScriptRunner to enhance default Jira functionality. Knowledge with Groovy scripting is a plus
- Experience in configuring test management using addons like Xray
- Design, configure dashboard and build custom reports to support agile teams and leadership needs
- Experience in setting up integrations with engineering and product management by identifying tools via plug-ins / add-ons from the marketplace to enhance and streamline SDLC processes
- Strong understanding of JIRA APIs and webhooks
- Provide application support for Jira and Confluence for entire organization
- Generate and maintain documentation and training collateral for all users
- Be able to support various aspects of licensing, billing, renewals, etc.
- Experience with Jira issue migration across different instances is preferred
Recommended Education:
- B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience configuring and administering cloud Jira instances at enterprise scale
- Experienced configuring other Atlassian products, marketplace addons and external integrations
- Familiar with Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban and collaborated with teams practicing Agile
