Job Title: Business Analyst, Assistant Manager

The Business Analyst role is a part of the Information Publishing Solutions & Services team. The primary responsibility of an individual in this role is to provide business user support to SSGA employees globally for enhancements and updates to State Street Investment management Websites and Tools like Product Information Management, Product Content Management, Other responsibilities would vary depending on emerging business needs.

Education and Experience –

Master/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Preferable : 9 -12 years of strong Investment banking industry experience with Investment banking, Asset management, financial services,

The skills expected to perform in this role are listed as follows-

MUST HAVE

Proficiency in Tools: The candidate should possess strong expertise and hands-on experience with Advanced Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, Tableau, and financial modeling platforms. Domain Expertise: A solid understanding of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), Mutual Funds, Fixed Income instruments, and the Equity Market is essential. Project Management: Ability to drive project deliverables and efficiently manage daily tasks and activities. Data Handling: Skilled in data workflow design, data analysis, and data mapping. Requirement Gathering: Capable of engaging with end users and cross-functional teams to gather and interpret business requirements. Application Support: Responsible for investigating and resolving application functionality issues, providing first-level support, and performing troubleshooting. Scripting & Automation: Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, with the ability to execute shell or PERL scripts, run ad-hoc commands, and develop scripts for automating batch processes.

GOOD TO HAVE

Experience in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) or similar CMS (Content Management System) technologies is a plus. Proven experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau). Should be familiar with vendor feed workflows, including monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting of data feeds from external providers, Handling exceptions by identifying root causes, coordinating with vendors, and resolving data discrepancies Collaborating with internal teams to ensure data consistency across systems like Aladdin, Bloomberg, and other vendor data, Strong understanding of financial instruments and capital markets. Hands-on experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages like Shell or PERL. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Related skills and expectations –

  • Work closely with Product Managers to consult with business partners in defining, scheduling, and implementing enhancements and new releases
  • Support Product Manager communications with site sponsors, stakeholders, partners and business users
  • Collaborate with team members across project management, development, data suppliers, and quality assurance on project execution and roll out
  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting
  • Should Gain expertise on Products, Product Central, SSGA.com, SPDRS.com and other global sites
  • Converting business requirements into test cases and conducting IT testing and user testing activities
  • Coordination across technical teams and oversee the development process
  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting.
  • Working closely with QA team to ensure their test cases / regression suite are updated
  • Perform other job duties as required by the Product Team and the Manager
