Role: Application Support Lead (Officer)

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of IT experience, with proven expertise in supporting applications within Windows-based SaaS production environments. Must include at least 1 year of client-facing experience. Strong programming/scripting skills are essential.

Professional Background:

  • Hands-on experience supporting applications in multi-tenant SaaS production environments.
  • Deep understanding of Windows infrastructure and IT operations.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Application Support: Advanced proficiency in managing and troubleshooting applications on the Windows platform.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong grasp of Windows Active Directory, Domain Services, and Windows Security protocols.
  • Scripting & Automation:
    • Proficient in PowerShell and Batch scripting.
    • Capable of automating processes and developing one-click onboarding solutions.
  • Deployment & Monitoring:
    • Experience deploying applications in production environments.
    • Skilled in setting up and monitoring batch jobs, with customization via scripting.
    • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (any scheduler).
  • Database Skills: Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Issue Resolution: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve client issues in production.
  • Cloud Experience: Exposure to cloud migration projects is preferred.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Quick learner with a proactive approach to new technologies.
  • Work Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
  • Communication & Leadership:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support and client issue resolution.
  • Deploy applications using both manual and automated methods across environments.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deliver hardware/software environments.
  • Monitor and maintain production applications and environments.
  • Document and update installation and operational procedures.
  • Participate in deployment and configuration management activities.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell scripting.
  • Support legacy-to-cloud application migration efforts.
  • Assist in audit processes related to user and access management, and security compliance.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) are a plus.
