Investment Strategy & Research is the investment team of State Street Investment Management that conducts multi-asset class research, complex portfolio analytics and develops customized solutions to portfolio requirements for institutional clients globally.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver bespoke investment analysis and solutions across multi-asset portfolios, with a strong focus on institutional client objectives. This includes strategic asset allocation, risk attribution, scenario analysis, and portfolio construction aligned with client mandates and regulatory frameworks.
- Support the development of high-impact thought leadership content such as white papers, thematic research, and investment outlooks. Collaborate with stakeholders to produce client-facing materials that support engagement, reinforce the firm’s investment philosophy, and drive commercialization of proprietary views and offerings.
- Monitor and interpret global macroeconomic and geopolitical developments, translating them into actionable, region-specific insights—particularly for Middle East & Africa markets. These insights support senior stakeholders in media commentary, client communications, and investment positioning.
- Build and apply a quantitative understanding of the firm’s investment offerings to support client engagement, product positioning, and the development of tailored investment solutions.
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate would preferably bring 4–6 years of experience in investment research, macroeconomic analysis, or portfolio analytics, ideally within an institutional asset management or advisory environment, and demonstrate the following:
- A research-driven mindset with strong intellectual curiosity and a collaborative approach; comfortable working within global teams and contributing to thought leadership through journals, research papers, or blogs.
- Solid understanding of investment analysis and portfolio construction, including investment styles such as value, growth, and factor investing; familiarity with risk attribution frameworks like BarraOne or Axioma is desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of global capital markets, with a preference for candidates who have exposure to GCC market dynamics and regional investment themes.
- Advanced academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, with progress toward or completion of the CFA designation.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data platforms such as Bloomberg and FactSet to support research, analysis, and client engagement activities.
