We are currently looking to hire a talented and initiative candidate to join our Global Cash Management team. You will join our business in a dual role as a Portfolio Manager/ Trader and will be responsible for the daily management of our Active Cash/Short term bond strategies.
It is a complex role, offering an opportunity to be a part of a core business unit within a demanding environment. We are looking for applicants with an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in business, economics, or finance, CFA designation is a plus, who have at least 10 years of relevant experience in Fixed income/ Cash portfolio management. The ideal employee has excellent analytical skills; communicates ideas clearly and expertly, both verbally and in writing, able to work in an unstructured environment under tight deadlines; enjoys working in a team environment; demonstrates integrity and inspires trust and confidence in others.
Responsibilities for Portfolio Manager / Trader include, but not limited to:
Maintain a deep understanding of global markets especially fixed income & money markets.
As a dual role, manage and trade multi-billion EUR/GBP portfolios that can cover both short term Fixed Income segregated mandates/ Funds and Money Market portfolios.
Expert knowledge of short term securities such as; Repo, Euro commercial paper, Bonds, Bills, Certificates of deposit, Asses Backed Commercial Paper.
Ensure effective management of client portfolios in line with their respective investment objectives, guidelines, and restrictions.
Ensure that the portfolio strategy operates within compliance restrictions alongside internal and external regulations.
Communicate clear investment philosophy and process, maintaining high performance goals and returns.
Assist management with defining strategy and market opportunities, maintaining client relationships, business development and marketing.
Be an enthusiastic team member who can collaborate clearly at all levels.
Committed to investment excellence, with strong diligence and a collaborative attitude.
Ability to embrace multiple internal systems to facilitate both daily management of cash and bond funds.
Have established market relationships.
Able to represent State Street at market events/conferences.
Attend and lead client meetings.
Candidate will be based in London office.
Requirements
Bachelor in Banking/Business/Economics/Finance from a recognized university
At least 10 years of relevant working experience
Strong social and people skills
Able to work in a demanding environment and handle pressure.
Meticulous, resourceful, and critical individual
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Bloomberg
