The Depositary Manager, Officer, is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality oversight and control functions in accordance with AIFMD, UCITS, and local regulatory requirements. This role combines operational expertise with process engineering responsibilities, fostering a dynamic and efficient work environment.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for as a Depositary Manager:
Operational Oversight
Ensure timely and accurate execution of depositary control functions related to:
- Cash-flow monitoring.
- Safekeeping of assets.
- Oversight of the parties to a fund.
Review and approve reconciliations for cash, stock, income.
Escalate risk items and breaches as necessary.
Act as a point of contact for clients, oversight team, auditors and internal departments for inquiries.
Project & Change Management
- Lead transformation initiatives and process automation in line with project management lifecycle and corporate standards.
- Lead or contribute to CI, Lean, SSCD and AI projects aimed at efficiency and capacity savings.
- Represent the unit in cross-functional forums and project meetings.
- Evaluate current processes and suggests improvements.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Coach, mentor, motivate and develop a team of depositary employees.
- Help cascade corporate strategy and translate corporate goals into tailor made performance priorities. Lead by example.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Be managers’ deputy if required.
Reporting & Governance
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of KPIs, KRIs, MIS, and capacity movements.
- Maintain high standards in documentation and presentation of materials.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on strategic goals and compliance.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in depositary operations, fiduciary services or similar – minimum 5+ years.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Risk management skills and knowledge on the corporate risk framework.
- Proven record of process improvements / simplifications / digitization.
- Understanding of State Street global transformation initiatives like AI, SSCD and PCC.
- Familiarity with AIFMD, UCITS, KAGB, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus.
