Who we are looking for?
We are seeking a proactive and analytical professional with strong communication and leadership skills to join our Custody and Shared Services team. The ideal candidate will have experience in transition projects, people management, fluency in English, Italian is strong advantage . This role is suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives. You will lead a team delivering day-to-day custody operations with primary focus on Italian-market clients, drive continuous improvement, and ensure strong controls and client focus.
What you will be responsible for?
As part of the Custody and Shared Services team, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration as well as manage deliverables that support the senior management in managing the business and effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure.
Your new role
As a Custody Operations Officer, you will:
- Support strategic initiatives and transformation efforts across custody operations.
- Oversee daily custody asset servicing, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery.
- Manage a team of ~6–10 associates: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance feedback, and development planning.
- · Provide reporting and analytics to senior leadership, including risk and productivity tracking.
- Ensure compliance with local and EU regulations, including AML and reporting obligations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
What we value
Specific Qualifications / Skills:
3–5 years of experience in custody asset servicing or related operations.
Proven people leadership in a production environment.
Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Fluency in English; Italian strongly preferred or required for Italian client book.
Experience in transition or transformation projects within financial services.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI is a plus.
