Who we are looking for:

Looking forward to an Associate for Alternative Investment Services with experience in Private Equity, Hedge Fund portfolio valuations. The incumbent would join a team of accountants responsible for Alternative Investment Administration Services.

From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, GD tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.

What you will be responsible for:

Primary Responsibilities & Skill Sets :

Would be a part of the processing team for Alternatives Investment Services primarily responsible for end-to-end accounting and valuations of Private Equity & Hedge Funds for Limited Partners reporting into an Officer.

Operational Skill sets

  • Should have an overall 2+ years of experience into Alternative ops.
  • Should work with relentless focus on meeting SLA’s with regards to quality and timeliness for the assigned funds/clients.
  • Should be a quick learner and deliver funds / clients as a processor.
  • Should liaise with his reviewer / reporting manager on continuous process improvements for his assigned funds/clients.
  • Required to work closely with his reviewer and process his funds clients
  • Act as a point of contact for client issues and queries relating to his assigned funds/ clients.
  • Would be required to work during US hours.

Functional Skill set :

  • Ability and understanding to manipulate large set of data related to fetching PCAP’s, Notices, LOD’s from GP / IM portals or track them through emails for hefty volumes.
  • Perform end-to-end accounting and valuations of Private Equity & Hedge Funds and sign-off daily / monthly valuations and NAV’s for hedge and PE funds for LP clients.
  • Should have ability and knowledge to interpret the PCAP’s, ILPA’s, Notices & LOD’s book capital activities / cash flows accordingly.
  • Track, review and get the cash breaks coded to his clients resolved by following up with relevant teams within 30 days of aging.
  • Perform tolerance and validation checks for assigned funds/ clients before sign-off’s.
  • Should have good understanding of Alternative Investments like Hedge, Private Equities and other Alternative Investment products.
  • Should possess good understanding of accounting as per US GAAP or IFRS.
  • Should have a good knowledge and understanding of overall asset classes traded over exchange in primary & secondary markets and OTC.
  • Proficiency in Python tools and ability to manage and work with complex data sets would be an added advantage.

Risk Management :

  • Should execute and apply all the controls and provide a sign-off through established checklists for the clients assigned to his reviewer.
  • Should be able to assess issues and relay back to his reviewer.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree into Accounting or Financial Management.
  • Proficiency in Python tools.
