Who we are looking for

The Alternative Investments Administration Services (AIAS) Team is focused on the asset owner side with a client listing including some of the largest public pension funds, corporate plans, foundations and endowments in the world. Staff within this group is responsible for the accounting of these assets as well as calculating performance returns and exposure attribution.

The AIAS Officer will be responsible for the oversight of a team of performance analysts, supporting the client’s alternative investment portfolios, with a focus on private equity, real estate, hedge funds, and fund-of-funds structures. This role involves oversight and the managing of production, review, and delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting. The Officer will also manage ad hoc client requests, support audit and compliance activities, and collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives such as system enhancements, data automation, and reporting.

What you will be responsible for:

Technical Competencies

  • Basic comprehension of investment performance measurements: Time-Weighted Returns (TWR), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and performance variation (Net, Net Manager, Net All)

  • Apply functional understanding of Private Equity/Accounting knowledge concepts and valuation methodologies, their accounting treatments, and their impact to performance.

  • Familiarity with analytics software/tools and the ability to demonstrate to an audience on how to use said analytics software/tools

  • Contribute to strategic projects focused on process improvement, automation, and reporting enhancements.

  • Apply industry knowledge to refine and evolve the current operating model.

Education and Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience

  • A degree in accounting or experience in private equity or real estate is a plus

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $102,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
