State Street is searching for AVP to join State Street’s operation team.

You will lead an engaged workforce by example and be able to leverage individual strengths and identify development opportunities. Innovative thinking is critical to successfully plan and execute various projects, improve efficiency and reduce risk within your team. This role can be performed in a 4X4 hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for:

As an AVP you will:

• Ensure that all operational deliverables to clients are met in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure sufficiently trained staff is available to service the clients and deliver quality service.

• Ensures all controls and procedures are adhered to as well as make recommendations for changes in line with company policy;

• Understand the core offering and increase efficiencies in the day to day processing

• Work with the team for the day to day resource allocation and peak time task management, handling with escalations from different parties.

• Program management and leadership for any risk excellence projects and initiatives

• Supervise subordinate staff (including Associate 1, Associate 2, Senior Associate, Officer), professionally organize 1:1 meeting with team members in order to timely provide feedbacks and valuable suggestions based on their performance and individual strength.

• Facilitate staff training & development, adherence to the training framework and effective track the individual staff performance, award staffs with good performance at a timely manner.

• Develop and build up a good relationship with the home site and other inter-departmental contacts to achieve business goals

• Manage client relationship (via Japan homesite) from both a strategic and day to day tactical perspective ensuring coherence between client requirements and SSAL service capabilities

•Participates in project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation

•Drive and make sure the cooperation with innovation lab team, PM or BA is well managed with target goal achieved without delay

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in English, Banking, Finance, Business, Accounting or related discipline; or relevant work experience in a similar role.

  • Ideally 6-8 years’ experience in Fund accounting, Custody market, project management

  • A good knowledge of fund accounting operational concepts

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
