Who we are looking for:

The Regulatory Reporting Centre of Excellence Team (RRCOE) within State Street Investment Management's Operations department is committed to delivering expert operational services through collaboration and clear thinking. This team plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements and industry standards. The primary responsibility of the role is to monitor, analyze, and report financial transactions to relevant regulators or trade repositories, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of exceptions.

The RRCOE team handles key regulatory reporting obligations including EMIR, ASIC, SFTR, MiFID, and disclosures to the Irish and UK Takeover Panels under Rule 8.3. The team also monitors changes from the Swiss Takeover Board and supports the Office of Regulatory Strategy and Execution (ORSE) by aggregating and validating data from SSGA business functions for submission to the Volcker Office. This role demands a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple teams to maintain reporting accuracy and compliance.

The Transaction Regulatory Reporting Team lead ensures timely and accurate submission of trade and transaction reports to regulatory authorities, maintaining compliance with global financial regulations. This role is vital for minimizing regulatory risk, safeguarding the firm's reputation, and supporting operational transparency across markets.

What you will be responsible for:

As a Team Lead you will:

  • Adhere to completing assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner within the stated Service Level Expectations.

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of trade and transaction reports to relevant regulatory bodies in accordance with global financial regulations (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II, SFTR, ASIC, Rule 8.3 etc.).

  • Monitor and reconcile reporting data across internal systems and external platforms to identify and resolve discrepancies or reporting breaks.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for reporting errors and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on reporting processes.

  • Liaise with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to interpret and implement regulatory changes.

  • Provide guidance & training on regulations to team members

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

  • Collaborate with technology, data, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.

  • Lead or support regulatory reporting projects, system upgrades, and strategic initiatives.

  • Participate in UAT and change management processes.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Strong understanding of global regulatory regimes (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II, SFTR, CFTC, ASIC, MAS).

  • Familiarity with trade lifecycle across asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX).

  • Experience with regulatory reporting platforms (e.g., DTCC, TRAX).

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions), PowerPoint, and reporting tools.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing trade data and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across compliance, operations, and technology teams and support regulatory change initiatives.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate/Post Graduate in Finance or Business Management

3-7 Years Experience
