Who we are looking for:

We are looking to hire for a Legal Entity Governance Manager (South East Asia) & Deputy Branch Manager (Singapore) Managing Director to manage and coordinate all the relevant legal entity and Branch governance frameworks together with the compliance to all regulatory requirements that support the operations of South East Asia.

What you will be responsible for

Legal Entity Governance

  • Responsible for the compliance and execution of Legal Entity Governance Standards.
  • Responsible for the coordination and ownership of all external and internal regulatory requirements including all regulatory deliverables and reporting for the Legal Entity.
  • Responsible for the design, coordination and management of all the legal entity risk and governance frameworks including Business Risk Management responsibilities.
  • Responsible for all Corporate Secretarial functions including the liaison and coordination between external corporate secretary.
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance of, and monitoring adherence to applicable policies and procedures to support regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of governance frameworks, policies and management of any framework managing the authority of operations of the legal entities.
  • Oversee all governance requirements that impact the ASEAN entities related to Outsourcing, offshoring and third party risk management including execution of, and maintenance of inter-company agreements.
  • Responsible for the management of all legal entity governance forums to effectively execute business objectives, governance and regulatory requirements for all legal entities in South East Asia.
  • Oversee the impact of operational resiliency as it relates to all relevant legal entities and maintain the relevant documentation to support the Location Lead for Business Continuity Director for South East Asia.
  • Responsible for leading the implementation of activities in relation to regulatory, governance and first line of defense initiatives and coordinating across business units for legal entity wide projects and audits.
  • Responsible for the review, execution and submission of reports to regulators.
  • Identify training and development areas in business hotspots, committees, boards

Deputy Branch Manager (Singapore)

  • As Deputy Branch Manager (Singapore), this role will have specific responsibility for the management and conduct of all branch activities including supporting all the business units within the Branch with oversight of governance frameworks to enable effective business unit decisions and management of the execution of documentation to support Branch activities.
  • Supervise the Office Administration team supporting Singapore & South East Asia entities, which is responsible for:
  • Provide admin support for general office matters, eg managing security access, office archiving, managing name card and stationery acquisitions, supporting office wide events, hybrid working coordination etc
  • Supporting administrative requirements for new joiners and leaver
  • Coordinating South East Asia wide communications relating to administrative matters

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in banking, finance or a related industry, with a focus on governance, compliance, or risk management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and governance practices together with a thorough understanding of State Street’s business and product offerings.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills with an ability to influence others and to promote teamwork across the organization.
  • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
