Sustainability Disclosure & Reporting Manager, VP

Role Overview:
Finance is seeking a Financial Controller to drive the ongoing development and compliance with mandatory sustainability disclosures, focusing on Part 8 of the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR), the EU Taxonomy Regulation, the CSRD Directive, and other relevant ESG directives.
The successful candidate will join the Sustainability Reporting & Disclosure Controller Team, collaborating across departments to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the SSEHG Group Disclosure Report in both German and English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the quarterly process for the annual Disclosure Report, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and other ESG-related disclosures.
- Oversee subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible for preparing disclosures.
- Manage ESG data processing and support technical implementation within regulatory reporting systems.
- Administer the CSRD reporting platform (Workiva).
- Implement ESG risk templates under Article 449a CRR and contribute to the development of EU Taxonomy and CSRD disclosure templates.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment across all sustainability-related disclosures.
- Review disclosures in German and English for accuracy and clarity.
- Prepare materials for internal meetings and project updates.
- Support the maintenance of the control framework and validate data inputs, particularly for new sustainability components.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance or Law.
Experience:
- At least 7 years in financial or regulatory reporting, ideally with exposure to EU Taxonomy and/or CRR disclosure reporting.
- Experience with ESG data, particularly for regulatory reporting.
- Business fluency in English; German language skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of CRR and related technical standards.
- Proven track record in deadline-driven, control-oriented environments.
- Experience leading regulatory implementation projects to successful completion.
