Role Summary & Role Description
The Application Development Lead will be a technically strong and forward-thinking AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of AI-powered solutions for Accounting & Payments operations and analyze, design, develop and maintain web-based investment management accounting software in a client/server environment using Java-J2EE, Web services. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a problem-solving mindset and thrive in a collaborative environment where innovation and reusability are key. In person participation in an agile team is expected. Take position of Lead Developer on projects, provide direction to more junior developers and create roadmaps to meet project deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze and Develop solutions to the client needs as developer lead within a team following the agile development approach.
Represent team on all major technical upgrades and large technical efforts.
Manage your efforts within the agile team and outside agile to ensure tasks are completed successfully by deadlines
Design & Develop database objects using DB2 and Oracle. Ensure proper performance tuning.
Understand user needs and put forth options for solutions. Anticipate critical issues and risks; take responsibility for resolution across the organization
Possess skills to review architecture and provide architectural design recommendations
Take complete ownership and lead deliverables across multiple application/project teams and stake holders
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required
16+ years of experience in Java Development; Java-J2EE, Web services, React JS ,HTML5 a must. Experience in server side java scripting.
Implementation and development experience in UI frameworks.
Good understanding of design patterns and architecture along with exposure in MQ & messaging a plus.
Develop and deploy Generative AI, NLP, and Machine Learning models for accounting workflows, payment reconciliation, and intelligent automation.
Architect scalable AI workflows using orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and platforms such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, Vertex AI, and Azure OpenAI
Build intelligent agents for document processing, summarization, anomaly detection, and structured output generation.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Establish reusable prompt libraries, evaluation pipelines, and AI governance frameworks to ensure consistency, scalability, and explainability.
Knowledge of prompt safety, hallucination mitigation, and explainability
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to be open to discussion of potential options.
Should be good team player and have excellent communication skills.
Should have experience in debugging and resolving production issues by supporting Level 4 team
Demonstrates solid knowledge of the overall software development life cycle including development, testing and deployment of all application modules.
