What you will be responsible for

As a working student, you will

  • support the finance team in a variety of ways and work as a valued team member on numerous accounting topics
  • Participate in activities in the area of finance transformation and take on small projects independently after the training period
  • Part of a team that supports the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region in all matters relating to accounting and accounting
  • Work quickly independently and independently
  • Participate in changes in the functional processes of a major international bank
  • Be involved in a wide range of project activities (e.g. restructuring and acquisitions of business units, new financial products, conversion of IT systems)
  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of process improvements as well as process analyses
  • Support the implementation of regulatory requirements within the processes (e.g. ESG requirements, EU taxonomy)
  • Prepare and document meetings and committee meetings

Education & preferred qualifications

  • Ongoing studies in economics, (economic) mathematics or law
  • Interest in the topics of accounting, accounting, banking and auditing as well as in topics from the financial industry
  • Ideally, initial knowledge or experience in a credit institution, e.g. from a banking apprenticeship
  • Ideally, basic knowledge of external reporting and accounting according to HGB, US-GAAP or IFRS
  • Good understanding of complex relationships and very good analytical skills
  • Good user knowledge of common MS Office applications
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Analytical thinking skills, especially with regard to complex processes and process flows
