What we can offer you:

The Shareholder Services Team, as a part of Investment Operations unit, administers incoming client instructions relating to subscription and redemption activity for portfolios managed globally by State Street Investment Management. The team is responsible for the verification, accurate & timely processing, and onward communication of these instructions to the State Street IM Investment Management team. The Shareholder Services team play a central role in ensuring positive client and stakeholder experience within a managed operational risk environment.

The European Funds Management team is responsible for handling all processes related to the day-to-day running of our funds and fund governance, including cross border registrations, coordination of board meetings and offering documents (prospectus, KIIDs, KIDs) and oversight of core service providers. The team also oversees the fund financial statement preparation process and audits thereof. As an intern in the European Funds Management Team, you will work closely with the Product Managers and the Designated Person for Distribution as well as various internal and external stakeholders. Your scope of responsibilities will be to contribute to fund product initiatives and processes and governance related tasks including completion of regulatory filings as well as fund documentation updates and changes to the product offerings. You will be required to assist the Product Managers on ad hoc initiatives as required.

Primary Responsibilities

Shareholder Services Team:

  • Processing of subscription and redemption activity into systems.

  • Ensuring all instructions received from clients are aligned with State Street IM’s instruction procedures and security controls.

  • Investigation of any reconciliation exceptions related to subs and reds activity.

  • Providing portfolio managers with accurate information on daily subscription/redemption activity.

  • Participate in key projects to improve efficiency and re-evaluate processes.

  • Ongoing implementation and maintenance of standard operating processes and procedures.

  • Support a culture of effective challenge to evolve daily operational processes, recommend and implement changes and deliver continuous improvement.

  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity within the business and ensure compliance with industry practice, company policies, statute, and regulatory requirements in all matters.

  • Collaborate with team members in other sites to ensure that operating model is consistent and to share standard methodology.

Funds Management Team:

  • Contribute and support the EMEA Implementation team working on Fund Launches and Closures.

  • Ensure timely execution of all BAU processes with a focus on minimizing enterprise risk.

  • You will contribute to business initiatives as part of the wider European Funds Management team.

  • You will support the dedicated Product Managers with day-to-day tasks and projects related to State Street IM’s Funds.

Program dates: 31 August 2026 – 30 August 2027

You must be available to participate in the program in person in the Republic of Ireland, starting from day one and for its full duration. Additionally, you are required to work from the office 4 days a week.

  • Excel knowledge. VBA/Macro coding skills are a plus.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Third year students enrolled in full time undergraduate education currently in the penultimate year of their degree, in one of the following areas: Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Databases or related field.

  • Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a dynamic organization.

  • Effective communicators with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Motivated by real-world problem solving and eager to contribute innovative ideas.

  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work successfully in a self-motivated environment.
