Who we are looking for

In July 2013, U.S. banking regulators jointly issued a Final Rule implementing the Basel III regulatory capital framework (“Final Rule”). Under both frameworks, State Street Corporation must closely review its financial products and business units to enable the quantification of risk-weighted assets in a manner that will facilitate compliance with the regulations. As a member of the Regulatory Capital team, you will focus on monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables related to the above framework and related reporting requirements. You will play an integral part on the calculation of credit, market, and operational Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) for a large and highly complex organization.

What you will be responsible for

As Regulatory Capital & Basel Officer you will

  • Process monthly workflows, adjustments and reconciliations for Basel III capital calculations and related internal reporting
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Basel III regulation, calculations and analysis
  • Participate in the annual Advanced Systems Assessment across various functions to deliver a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the Bank’s systems/processes
  • Complete analytical package to interpret capital results and prepare presentation packages for senior management and Investor Relations
  • Stay abreast of regulatory and reporting updates, review and interpret guidance and apply changes as needed
  • Manage department policy and procedure documents, controls and self-assessments
  • Develop and update complex financial models to review automated logic and generate flux analyses
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) of the Risk Data Lake logic updates
  • Participate in new product on-boarding
  • Lead project work streams to enhancement processes

As Return On Capital Officer you will

  • Participate in ad-hoc projects from regulatory capital perspective to assist the Return-On-Capital team’s ongoing management reporting.
  • Develop working relationships with State Street Finance teams to drive process improvement, automation and efficiency to improve the speed and quality of flow of business performance data to management stakeholders for their portfolio allocation decisions.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA, MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant Finance experience, ideally in a complex global Financial institution
  • Experience managing multiple tasks in multiple locations

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $113,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
