Who we are looking for

We are looking for a current student seeking a year-long placement internship to join our State Street Investor Services team to support business growth initiatives in the UK. The perfect candidate is a confident, self-starter with strong communication skills who thrives managing projects.

Program dates: 22June 2026 – 21 June 2027

You must be available to participate in the program in person in UK, starting from day one and for its full duration. You must be available to participate in the program in person, starting from day one and for its full duration and you are required to work from the office 4 days a week.

What you will be responsible for

  • Own the execution of UK People Strategy initiatives. Help the facilitation of the UK People Forum, drive employee engagement, analyze UK Employee Survey Results and be a center point of contact for all UK People related matters. Support and strengthen inclusion and diversity across the UK. Drive collaboration between employee networks and corporate citizenship

  • Plan and execute UK‑wide internal communications and events, including town halls

  • Assist the creation, distribution and presentation of the State Street UK Strategy - working closely with the UK Management Teams, representatives of each UK business and the Corporate Strategy Team

  • Help drive the UK Commercial Office strategy - working closely with sales enablement teams to produce analysis, run initiatives and support the Sales and Relationship Management teams

  • Work closely with the UK CEO and Chief of Staff on any ad hoc topics that require attention

  • Understand the UK Senior Manager Regime, priorities of the FCA and PRA, UK Company Secretary workload and UK Governance practices to be able to support, where possible, activities in these teams

  • Support the wider UK CEO Office team on topics across Legal Entity Strategy, Commercial Strategy, People Strategy, UK Governance Matters and UK Chief of Staff activities

  • Understand State Street products and work with the sales, product and marketing teams to drive business growth initiatives

  • Review UK financials to identify opportunities to enhance our cost and revenue base

  • Drive and consistently promote a One State Street culture

  • Review and enhance internal processes - utilizing new technologies such as AI

  • Develop a relationship with every UK senior manager to ensure the UK CEO Office is providing support across the whole UK management base

  • Support the UK CEO and other senior managers by drafting and presenting briefings for both internal and external meetings and assisting with the organization of the bi-weekly UK Management team meeting

  • Support the employee and real estate working groups to improve office space and employee experience and prepare for the London office move in 2027

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Candidates should be:

  • A minimum 2.1 honor’s degree or equivalent (predicted)

  • Undergraduate students: Business, Finance, or related field
