What you will be responsible for
As a Vice President in our Prime Services Trading Desk you will be responsible for;
Respond to locates and provide market color to Hedge Fund and Alternative Investment Management clients.
Resource inventory both internally and externally; manage hard-to-borrow/deal names, ensuring adequate supply and allocations for borrowing clients.
Value, price and input securities lending transactions; optimize borrow costs; fully utilise long positions to maximise revenue opportunities.
Manage and optimise collateral availability and positioning.
Contribute to managing and forecasting the firm’s financial resources; Optimise the book in line with firm capital requirements including, but not limited to, RLAP, RWA, LCR.
Efficiently utilize and manage internal and external trading platforms such as NGT.
Work with Product and Technology to create bespoke trading system enhancements and solutions.
Work alongside Business Development and Sales teams to provide portfolio revenue estimates, sales and marketing pitches.
Assist with creating and preparing MIS reporting to track and manage trading risk, product and client profitability.
Provide necessary support on the principal trading desk for the agency repo program
Facilitate funding and customer demand to enhance fee and net interest income

Understanding nuances of different asset classes including structured products
Some experience in preparing presentations for management
Ability to support multiple initiatives through independent or collaborative work
Ability to be able to lead, implement, and follow through to completion
Ability to think critically to understand existing process and identify opportunities for improvement
Education & Preferred Qualifications
BS/BA (Finance/ Economics)
Strong Excel and Power Point
UK and EMEA sovereign / fixed income market experience
Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Qlik or Tableau
Additional requirements
Limited EMEA travel likely required
