State Street’s Global Product organization is undergoing a significant period of transformation and is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join the Product Control team within the Product organisation. This role will support the financial management, analytics, and management information (MI) capabilities of the Liquidity product set and contribute to improved transparency, insight, and decision‑making across the business.

Function

The Custody Product organization encompasses Product Management, Product Development, Network Management, and Product Control. The Product Control function is responsible for supporting the control framework, developing analytical and reporting capabilities, and providing financial insight to enable effective management of product performance.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will join the Custody Product Control team. The role will work across the Product team to understand MIS and reporting needs, and assist in the build out for data sourcing and analytics for Client Deposits and NII, as well move the function forward in terms of solutioning for Product P&Ls and Pricing. You will partner with Product Managers, Product Controllers, Treasury and Finance teams globally to address business questions derived from managing the P&L, profitability, and pricing.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Perform P&L and commercial analysis across Revenue Fees and Net Interest Income (NII) for Liquidity and Custody products.

  • Support the production and enhancement of management information (MI) reporting, including analysis, variance investigation, and commentary for senior stakeholders.

  • Source, validate, and analyze data across financial and business metrics to support reporting and insight generation.

  • Contribute to the development of product analytics and P&L toolsets, covering NII analytics, Deposits trends / outlook, Risk sensitivity and predictive analytics.

  • Work across functions and finance teams to understand business impacts of deposit trends, Sales pipeline and targets, and interest rates

  • Assist with deep‑dive analyses on strategic, financial, or risk‑related topics impacting the product set.

  • Partner with Finance teams to understand revenue and expense allocation methodologies, assess business impacts, and support improvement initiatives.

  • Work with Technology and data teams to improve data quality, automation, and reporting efficiency.

  • Support Product Control management activities, including OKRs, management reporting, people initiatives, and strategic planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline

  • Good understanding of the Custody family of products; Global Custody, Direct Custody and associated FX and Cash products

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Product Control, FP&A, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related financial role

  • Experience producing and analyzing MI reporting

  • Strong analytical skills with a control‑focused mindset and high attention to detail

  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools

  • Experience with data management and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx; Python advantageous)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across functions and geographies

  • Solid understanding of financial products; Liquidity or Custody experience advantageous

Experience & Background

  • AVP with 5+ years’ experience in Asset Servicing / Securities Services

  • Worked in Product organizations in prior roles.

  • Prior experience working in Product / Finance / Treasury / Controller.

  • Strong team player who can thrive
