We are looking for a VP Finance Technology Lead to drive the delivery and technical execution of critical finance platforms. This role is for a senior, hands‑on technology leader who thrives close to delivery—guiding engineers, shaping solutions in real time, and ensuring high‑quality outcomes across complex, data‑intensive systems.
You will work closely with Finance, Product, User Experience, Engineering, Data, and stakeholders to modernize platforms, enable automation, and improve the reliability and usability of finance technology.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where there is a balance of working from home and office.
What you will be responsible for
As a VP Finance Technology Lead, you will
- Provide day‑to‑day technical leadership for technology initiatives, guiding engineers through design, build, and delivery
- Translate business and product requirements into practical, high‑quality technical solutions
- Lead solution design and implementation within established architectural standards and guardrails
- Drive engineering best practices including code quality, testing, performance, and operational readiness
- Partner with Product and User Experience to ensure solutions are usable, scalable, and aligned with user needs
- Identify and resolve technical risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers early
- Support platform modernization efforts, including automation, cloud adoption, and legacy system evolution

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in software engineering or technology delivery
- Experience as a Technology Lead, or Senior Engineer on complex platforms
- Strong background supporting finance, risk, or data‑intensive systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working in a large, regulated enterprise environment preferred
Additional optional requirements
- Solid understanding of emerging LLM and GenAI prompting best practices and how they can accelerate and elevate development practices
- Familiarity with cloud‑native development, APIs, and event‑driven architectures
- Exposure to financial data pipelines, reporting systems, or controls‑driven workflows
- Experience working closely with UX teams on complex internal or enterprise applications
Salary Range:
$155,000 - $230,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
