About the Role
The QA team is part of Charles River Development (CRD), a State Street company, delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions across CRD and CRPM platforms. The team plays a critical role in ensuring product stability, performance, and automation scalability through hands‑on testing and continuous quality improvements.
Who We Are Looking For
An experienced Automation Engineer (Officer level) who will function as a hands‑on individual contributor, responsible for both manual and automation testing. This is an execution‑focused role requiring strong ownership of test design, automation development, and end‑to‑end quality validation across releases.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for UI and API layers
Perform hands‑on manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
Enhance and maintain automation frameworks with focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability
Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create effective test scenarios
Execute automation as part of CI/CD pipelines and monitor test results
Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers during sprint execution
Support release readiness, regression cycles, and production issue analysis as required
Ensure adherence to CRD QA standards, processes, and best practices

Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software QA with strong emphasis on test automation
Proven experience as a hands‑on individual contributor (not a people‑management role)
Strong expertise in UI and API automation (e.g., Selenium, Rest Assured, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of test frameworks (e.g., TestNG, Cucumber, BDD‑style frameworks)
Proficiency in Java
Strong manual testing fundamentals and test design methodologies
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
Ability to write SQL queries for validation and perform strong defect analysis
Nice to Have
Exposure to performance testing concepts and tools
Experience testing complex enterprise platforms (financial systems preferred)
Experience with Jira and test management practices
