Role Summary & Description:

Looking for a Data Engineer with 5-7 years of IT experience, 3+ years strong in python code development. Who will play a key role in Data engineering team with Proficient knowledge in Data Engineering, ETL, SQL, python, PySpark programming and RDBMS Database, Cloud Concepts and strong Programming skills expected to support State Street Data Intelligence Technology Platform Products and initiatives.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Responsible to Analysis, automate, load, manage the data required for financial model development and Production Benchmarking.

  • Part of Data Intelligence Product development team responsible to develop, manage, monitor and support production application Processes.

  • Deliver Projects on time with data quality and high accuracy. Always maintain Product and system Documentation up to date.

  • Evaluate and challenge business processes, uncover opportunities for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.

  • Gathering critical information from meetings and producing useful analysis, actionable events and output.

  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.

  • Manage handling large dataset, design, Develop and implement from concept, prototype and product automation using advance tools.

  • Work closely with all stakeholders including business owners to address data questions, data issues, access issues on time resolution.

  • Responsible to support Business Users with Data Analytics and explore and recommend latest tools.

  • Perform analysis on large complex data sets using structured and un-structured environment.

  • Prioritizing tasks based on business needs and requirements. Effective team player with good communication skills.


Must have Skills:

  • Data Engineering knowledge in data Loading (ETL) in On-Prem and Cloud Databricks, python, PySpark, SQL Performance Tuning.

  • Knowledge in SQL (Analytical Functions and complex queries), Unix/Linux OS, DB Performance Tuning and Tools - AWR, SQL Loader, SQL Trace and TKPROF, Oracle PL/SQL, Python, Java, Unix/AWK/SED Scripting. Knowledge in tools like Autosys, TOAD, SQL coding, perforce, GitHub, RTC

  • Good communication skills, able to effectively communicate with multiple technology teams and business counterparts.

  • Financial domain Knowledge and index/benchmark automation experience added advantages for this Role.

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Knowledge in Oracle Advance features like Compression, Oracle Internals and fine grain VPD security and network security. Able to understand logical and physical data models and develop/support end to end data topology for different financial models.

  • Implement from concept to prototype and product development using financial algorithms as per product requirements in VLDB environment. Quantitative data modeling experience is added advantage.

  • Knowledge in BI tools like Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI or Matlab Programming using mathematical toolbox or AWS/Azure Cloud, AWS/Azure DataBricks, Hadoop Bigdata Platform experience added advantage.
