Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking for a Database Application Developer to join our team, who will be working on our strategic Corporate Lending Program within Global Credit Finance IT. The role will focus on multiple projects across the program which is comprised of IT change projects on Loan IQ related to new business revenue opportunities, new portfolio management tools, consolidation of the platforms used for loan servicing and BAU efforts to support the Global Credit Finance (GCF) business. This role will have a critical accountability on the Lending Data Strategy/Platform initiative to execute a strategic plan that meets the evolving needs of Business stakeholders, Operations and other partners.

This role will partner closely with Operations, Business owners, and Technology teams to define the reporting vision, standardize data and metrics, build a scalable reporting data foundation, and deliver reliable lending dashboards.

The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on database development skills with a pragmatic, stakeholder-driven approach to building a reporting roadmap, governance, and delivery cadence.

What you will be responsible for:

As a Database Application Developer within Global Credit Finance IT you will:

  • Actively engage and execute assignments for large and complex business solutions initiatives across Global Credit Finance
  • Identify and resolve any potential dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Provide input to the technology solutions and recommend appropriate enhancements aligned to industry standard practices
  • Collaborate and liaise with stakeholders including tech, operations, and downstream partners to meet business outcomes such as supporting new products and expanding existing portfolio
  • Provide in depth and innovative analysis to understand problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic solutions
  • Act as a domain Data Owner for key Loan IQ & Data Lake data assets — accountable for business meaning, definitions, and correct usage.
  • Lead logical and physical data modeling in partnership with engineering (entities, attributes, grain, history, and change patterns).
  • Define and maintain canonical data definitions, source to target mappings, and transformation rules from Loan IQ into the Data Lake and downstream consumers.
  • Drive data quality expectations (completeness, accuracy, reconciliation logic) and work with delivery teams to ensure they are implemented and validated.
  • Support data governance execution (lineage, certification, critical data elements, critical reports) as part of delivery, without owning the governance function itself.
  • Serve as the bridge between business, data engineering, and analytics, ensuring data models are fit for reporting, regulatory, and operational use.
  • Assist in special projects as needed

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • 10+ years in database development experience delivering reporting/data solutions in a regulated or operationally complex environment
  • Experience and expertise in Finastra Loan IQ, Datamodel, Loan IQ Inquiry
  • Familiarity with Loan IQ Update API’s, SDK and Batch Knowledge
  • Strong collaborative problem solving skills working across divisions and geographical boundaries
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Techno-functional skillset, expertise in writing SQL Queries
  • Knowledge and experience in working closely with Operations, IT partners, vendor and Change Management.
  • Experience with modern BI/reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS or equivalent).
  • Experience implementing data governance practices such as data lineage documentation and standardized templates—often coordinated with data architecture and governance functions.
  • Understanding of principles that support report production controls and auditability (e.g., traceability and automation of report production processes).
  • Exposure to enterprise initiatives focused on clear accountability for data aggregation and reporting and improving reporting practices.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, Databricks or equivalent) supporting enterprise data lake, analytics, and reporting use cases.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology or related fields
  • Minimum of 10+ years of technology delivery experience in financial services

Salary Range:

$135,000 - $217,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
