Operational Risk - Vice President

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a self-motivated and strong analytical leader to fill a Vice President (VP) role in our Alterative Investment Solutions Group. They will partner and work across all teams that make up Alternatives to strengthen our risk and control ecosystem while representing Alternatives to other areas of State Street.

Why this role is important to us

The team you will be joining is a part of International Fund Services (IFS), acquired by State Street in July 2002. IFS, also known as Alternative Investment Solutions is a recognized industry-leading provider of fund accounting, fund administration and other services to hedge funds, private equity and credit funds, and Real Assets funds. The bedrock of providing these services to our clients is a strong risk and control environment.

What you will be responsible for

  • Managing internal relationships with respect to risk and controls with various Operational teams in Alternatives
  • Governance and ownership of Alternatives Standard Operating Procedures while working closely with Global Delivery’s Business Risk Management team
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are properly documented and followed across the Alternatives business
  • Close collaboration with the Alternatives SOC1 team ensuring strong connection between Standard Operating Procedures and Controls
  • Contribute and assist to deliver ad hoc projects, risk findings and audit remediations
  • Manage and develop talent
  • Monitor execution of control standards, KRIs, resiliency testing and compliance

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in Fund Administration in Alternatives
  • 6+ years of leadership experience
  • Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

  • The ideal candidate will be a well-organized detailed oriented, analytical individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and pressure while working efficiently to meet deliverables
