Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced business analyst with in depth knowledge of building and testing controls to join our Centre of Excellence team based in Poland. The team is responsible for building new IDC data quality checks, workflows and ensuring they are correctly exposed to our client control framework dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Building new IDC data quality controls, making sure those meet ADS Data Controls COE standards.
  • Building new SSCD workflows and tasks based on requirements from our stakeholders.
  • Reviewing existing controls, workflows and tasks, analysing gaps and working on Data Controls product enrichment.
  • Cooperating with internal partners, making sure all controls are correctly exposed to PHM/ADP Readiness dashboards.
  • Converting OCF controls to IDC tool including code parametrization and to-core-code-conversion.
  • Helping define requirements for new capabilities such as Security Health Master, Index Health Master, Account Health Master, etc.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Analytical thinking with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in SQL with 5+ years of hands‑on experience (complex queries, performance tuning, data modelling).
  • Fundamental programming skills in at least one language (e.g., VBA, Python, C#, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of ETL processes and data flows, including validation, transformation, and loading.
  • High proficiency in Excel for data analysis (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, automation, etc.).
  • Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and asset classes.
  • Experience with large datasets and strong capability in data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse business requirements and produce clear, structured requirement documentation.
  • Front Office and Back Office domain knowledge.
  • Familiarity with data quality checks, testing workflows, and/or ADP interfaces.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in data analysis or data management within asset management or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience with Python, R, or similar languages for data transformation and automation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Minimum Salary:

zł182 004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
